Job summary

Vse Aviation Inc in Florida is seeking an Aviation Accessory Technician to perform maintenance and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles in accordance with FAA data, airworthiness directives, and manufacturer instructions.

Duties include assembling and testing fuel controls, governors, and accessories, reading technical drawings, using hand and specialty tools, operating test equipment, laser data plates, and documenting repair records; background check and DOT drug testing apply.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of aviation accessory experience required.
• High mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Flexible to changing workloads based on customer requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and data.
• Basic computer operating skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble all fuel controls, or all governors, or all fuel, oil, and air accessories if designated assembler.
• Test limited fuel controls, or limited governors, or all fuel, oil, and air accessories if designated test bench operator.
• Utilize hand tools daily.
• Utilize specialty tools for precision measurements daily.
• Operate test equipment as needed to ensure components pass function test.
• Verify that all components are tested to the appropriate specifications to ensure airworthiness.
• Read and interpret technical data and drawings.
• Generate data plates for components completed with use of a laser system.
• Document maintenance records of all repair work orders performed.
• Other duties as assigned.
