Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Poultry Science, Avian Biology, or related field, or equivalent industry experience and knowledge base.
• Extensive experience performing avian semen collection, AI and cryopreservation.
• Experience incubating hatching eggs and raising chicks to adulthood.
• Strict compliance with SOPs and attention to detail in a research setting.

Responsibilities

• Aviculture: safely handling chickens and quail across development stages.
• Avian Breeding (Poultry): manage biobanking and AI with semen cryopreservation.
• Programmatic Support: optimize mating workflows and model transfer between sites.
• Culture of Care: ensure health, nutrition, enrichment, and veterinary care of flocks.
• Biosecurity: operate in PPE and SOP-compliant environments.
• Record Keeping: maintain animal records for provenance and tracking.
• Regulatory Compliance: support IACUC inspection readiness.
