Job summary
A leading educational institution in State College is seeking applications for a full-time Avian Medicine and Pathology Residency position. This residency is designed to provide specialty training for the American College of Poultry Veterinarians board examination. Responsibilities include conducting necropsies, consulting with veterinarians, and contributing to research efforts in avian pathology. Applicants must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and a state veterinary license. Begin date is July 1, 2026, with applications reviewed from December 12, 2025.
Qualifications
- Must hold a DVM from an AVMA-accredited college.
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in one or more US states.
- Experience in academic or clinical research is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Perform gross and histopathologic examinations on avian necropsy cases.
- Write necropsy reports and consult with submitting veterinarians.
- Assist with collaborative academic research and field investigations.
