Job summary

The International is seeking an Avian Care Coordinator to oversee care at our Hospital and Sanctuary locations. Under the Operations Director, you will coordinate rescue and transportation of wild birds, implement diet plans, and supervise rehabilitation activities.

This full-time, salaried role requires ensuring proper diets, enrichment, and medical treatment for residents, enforcing cleanliness protocols, and supporting the Hospital Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Oversee avian care at Hospital and Sanctuary locations, coordinating care activities and enrichment.
• Coordinate rescue and transportation of wild birds under supervision of the Operations Director.
• Implement diet plans and administer medical treatments and diagnostic testing as part of rehabilitation.
• Ensure proper diets, enrichment, general care, and medical treatment for sanctuary residents, and maintain cleanliness protocols at both locations.
• This is a full-time, salaried role with some holidays, weekends, evenings, and event hours.

Job Summary:

The Avian Care Coordinator oversees avian care at the Hospital and Sanctuary locations in collaboration with the Hospital Coordinator. Under the guidance of the Operations Director, they coordinate the rescue and transportation of wild birds, implement diet plans, and administer medical treatments, diagnostic testing, and all other rehabilitation activities deemed necessary at the Hospital. They ensure proper diets, enrichment, general care, and medical treatment for the sanctuary’s permanent residents, and make sure that cleanliness protocols are followed at both locations. This is a full-time, salaried position and includes some holidays, weekends, evening, and event hours.
