Aveanna Private Duty Nurse - RN New Grad

Aveanna’s Private Duty nurses assist our patients with transitioning home from the hospital and provide the continuous care they need so they can remain at home with their loved ones. Our comprehensive hands-on new grad training program is tailored to each nurse to ensure you have the education, support, and resources to be successful working independently in a home setting. This training involves instructor-led components, competency demonstrations, and in-home precepting with another nurse.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement physicians’ prescribed care plans
  • Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed
  • Document care provided promptly and accurately in our system
  • Provide health education and training to family members
  • Accept and document verbal orders from physicians, obtaining co-signature from the Case Manager as needed
  • Follow up with physicians, patients, families, staff, and Case Managers regarding patient concerns and changes in condition
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered license (RN/LPN/LVN) in the practice state
  • Current CPR certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or BLS
  • TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • Reliable transportation
