Job description

The AV Technician is responsible for implementation of systems our clients use with pride and confidence.

Accountabilities may include:
  1. Installation of audio-visual equipment

    1. Mounted in racks
    2. Mounted on the wall
    3. Installed from the ceiling, unistrut or I-beams
    4. Installed in table-cubbies or credenzas
  2. Installation of infrastructure to support AV equipment

    1. Threaded rod/Unistrut
    2. Low-voltage electrical boxes
    3. Surface or in-wall raceways and conduits
  3. Running/terminating low-voltage cables to support AV systems
  4. Use of ladders, hand tools and electrical tools
  5. Use of lifts
  6. Reading and understanding plans

    1. Floor plans
    2. Reflected ceiling plans
    3. Schematic diagrams
Midtown Video will provide:
  1. Competitive pay commensurate with experience and performance
  2. Training on Midtown Video processes and standards
  3. Opportunities for industry training and certifications including OSHA, AVIXA, and specific Manufacturers such as Audinate/Dante, Shure, Crestron, Biamp, etc.
  4. System Engineering and technical support
  5. Project implementation and Management
  6. Vehicles, lifts, ladders, and some PPE
  7. Electronic tools for testing and measuring cables, testing system inputs and outputs
Benefits:

After a 90 day review period, Midtown Video offers full time employees 5 paid personal days and 7 paid holidays per year. Health insurance is provided at no cost to the employee after the review period, with Dental and Vision available to purchase at a marginal rate.
