Job summary

New River Community College is seeking a Media Specialist Manager to lead AV systems installation, operation, and live event production across classrooms, auditoriums, and boardrooms. You will manage equipment, budget for video and media services, and direct the college’s live stream initiatives.

Qualifications

Experience with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer and audio/visual equipment used in electronic classrooms.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Strong problem-solving and meticulous attention to detail.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Experience in management or team leadership.
Extensive understanding of audio, video, and live production.
Knowledge of live sound production and various mixing consoles.
Knowledge of broadcast switcher technology (Broadcast Pix, NewTek, AJA, Blackmagic).
Strong understanding of Windows, Mac OS, Android, and iOS devices.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

Manage the implementation, installation, and maintenance of all equipment in electronic classrooms, auditoriums, and boardrooms.
Evaluate and recommend purchases to meet the video production and media service needs within budget.
Oversee the college’s live stream and video production development.
Coordinate preparation for on-campus events with internal and external entities.
Oversee all live audio/video/light production of campus events.
Supervise full-time, part-time, and student workers.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology Support Services.
Provide or schedule support for evening and weekend events.
