Job summary

dbHMS in Chicago, IL is seeking an AV Designer with 2-5 years of experience to design and document integrated audiovisual systems for built environments. You will collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, vendors, and contractors to deliver coordinated, high-quality projects across the project lifecycle.

The role requires strong technical foundations, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to work across disciplines and deliver solutions that meet client requirements,

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience designing or supporting professional audiovisual systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent AV design experience considered.
• CTS or CTS-D certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design integrated audiovisual systems for presentation, collaboration, conferencing, sound reinforcement, digital signage, control, and distribution.
• Research and evaluate AV products and system approaches to meet client requirements and budget objectives.
• Coordinate with Clients, Architects, Engineers, Vendors, and Contractors to define AV requirements and resolve technical issues.
• Develop AV contract documents including plans, details, equipment schedules, and technical specifications.
• Produce AV designs and documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.
