Position: AV Project Engineer (Laramie, WY)
Department: Operations
Reports To: Vice President of Customer Success
Position Overview

This role manages project scope, installation, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting of AV systems. Responsibilities include leading technicians, managing project timelines, and ensuring quality standards. The position involves regional travel, primarily within Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, and nationwide when needed, with residency within 50 miles of Laramie, WY required.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Define project scope and goals
  2. Create project plans and allocate resources
  3. Delegate tasks to team members
  4. Load and configure control systems (Crestron, Extron, DSP)
  5. Perform system commissioning, testing, and customer training
  6. Coordinate with sales, operations, and other departments
  7. Troubleshoot remotely with technicians
Qualifications
  • Extensive AV experience
  • CTS-I certification and Wyoming Low Voltage license
  • Experience with Crestron Toolbox and Extron Configurator
  • Ability to train end-users and work with IT departments
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills
  • Willingness to travel frequently and on short notice
  • Valid driver’s license with minimal citations
  • Physical ability to lift 40 pounds and work safely at heights
Preferred Skills
  • Audio DSP certifications (Biamp, Q-SYS)
  • Experience with VTC systems
  • Excellent written communication
  • Detail-oriented with stress management skills
