Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, seeks an AV Project Engineer to develop audiovisual design requirements for diverse projects in Minneapolis. You will collaborate with engineers to design energy-efficient buildings and manage AV projects from concept through execution.

The role requires RCDD, ICT systems familiarity, and 2+ years of AV design and project management experience, with AutoCAD/REVIT proficiency and CTS/CTS-D as a plus. Onsite in Minneapolis office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering or related discipline; CTS certification is a plus.
• RCDD certification and demonstrated experience with physical structured cabling infrastructure
• Experience with broader ICT (Information and Communications Technology) systems
• 2+ years of experience in AV designing, planning, and project management
• Working knowledge of key audio, video, and audiovisual products from major manufacturers
• Working knowledge of computer networks as they pertain to IP-based audio/video signal transport and UC-based conferencing
• Expertise with sound systems, including microphone and speaker requirements and their placement in acoustic environments
• AutoCAD and REVIT proficiency
• AVIXA CTS/CTS-D and manufacturer sponsored certifications are a plus
• Basic knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project

Responsibilities

• Develop AV design requirements by meeting with clients’ requirements and coordinating with the internal design team.
• Design and coordinate with architectural and engineering disciplines of audio/video systems for boardrooms, collaboration rooms, huddle spaces, and conference venues.
• Develop 2D and 3D drawings for architectural layouts of AV equipment and system schematic diagrams.
• Organize and lead coordination meetings and take detailed meeting minutes.

ABOUT US:

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking an AV Project Engineer who will be responsible for developing audiovisual (AV) design requirements on various projects. This is a hands on role that will work with a team of engineers to design energy efficient buildings for various clients and will be involved in all phases of the project. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who thrives on helping our team and clients be successful while having a strong technical background. This position will be located onsite in our Minneapolis office.

Key Responsibilities:

• RCDD certification and demonstrated experience with physical structured cabling infrastructure.
• Experience with broader ICT (Information and Communications Technology) systems
• Ability to develop audiovisual design requirements by meeting with and discussing clients’ requirements while working with the internal design team.
• Design and coordinate with architectural and engineering disciplines of audio/video systems for, but not limited to, boardrooms, collaboration rooms, huddle spaces, town hall venues, conference, and multipurpose rooms.
• Develop 2D and 3D drawings for architectural layouts of AV equipment and system schematic diagrams.
• Organize and lead coordination meetings and take detailed meeting minutes.

• Basic knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project expected.

Salary Range:

$80,000 - $100,000. This role is also eligible for an annual performancebased bonus. Bonus eligibility and payout are determined by role, individual performance, and company performance, and are not guaranteed.
