Job description

Our not for profit client is looking for an AV Production Manager to join their team. This position is onsite 4 days a week and may require nights/weekends for special events.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience providing AV support for events with VIPs/C-Levels in attendance.

They may offer relocation but will NOT cover the cost of coming to NYC for the interviews ( 2 in-person rounds).

Duties of the AV Production Manager:
- Plan and prepare AV requirements for events ranging from board meetings through company wide meetings which include live streaming for out of area attendees
- Ensure the proper installation and functionality of equipment including appropriate staffing
- Work with internal teams to develop strategies and best practices to ensure building infrastructure and technical equipment align with long term needs
- Work closely with AV techs to troubleshoot set up for events/shows
- Fulfill all technical needs and requirements for events team to ensure a flawless experience for all participants including remote attendee
- Interface with Event team to ensure all technical requirements are met for event needs
- Identify freelance technicians with appropriate technical and communication skills for events
- Maintain, track and repair in-house equipment
- Advise on equipment purchases based on research and long term viability

Requirements of the AV Production Manager:
- A minimum of 5 years of event production and technical AV management experience
- Experience working in a technical role in a film, theatrical environment highly preferred
- Experience working with permanent AV systems highly preferred
- Experience with networked AV systems i.e. Harmon BSS, Bante, Q-Sys, etc.
- Experience with event production equipment for lighting, audio, video
- Experience working with C-Levels
- Experience managing AV for hybrid events utilizing Zoom
- Drafting experience is a plus
