AV Manager – Listen to Me! Conference at Stanford University

Location: Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA

Dates: June 20–27, 2025 (including weekend)

Type: Short-Term, Paid Contract

Hours: 60–70 total over the week

About the Opportunity

Are you an experienced AV professional looking to contribute to a meaningful cause? The Baker Institute for Children with Hearing Loss is seeking a skilled AV Manager to support the 2025 Listen to Me! Conference — a powerful, week-long program that empowers children with hearing loss and their families.

You'll play a critical role in ensuring smooth technical operations for speaker sessions, therapy recordings, and staff coordination during this high-impact event.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and break down AV equipment (projectors, microphones, speakers, laptops)
  • Provide live support for speaker presentations and therapy session recordings
  • Set up iPads for recording listening and spoken language therapy
  • Troubleshoot and resolve AV/IT issues in real time
  • Ensure compatibility for various presenter devices (adapters/connectors)
About You
  • Strong experience with event AV or conference tech
  • Confident troubleshooting in high-pressure environments
  • Organized, reliable, and tech-savvy
  • Clear communicator and team collaborator
Compensation

This is a paid role. The total pay will be based on 60–70 hours over the week. Hourly rate ranges from $25 to $40, depending on experience and qualifications.
