Job summary

Amplify People is seeking a Lead Technician to manage residential AV projects and mentor junior technicians, while serving as a client‑facing representative on site.

While programming experience is a bonus, the focus is on on-site installation mastery, leadership, and coordinating with the owner and project team to meet high standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on AV installation experience (structured wiring, mounting, terminations, rack building, basic networking).
• Experience leading or mentoring team members in residential settings.
• Familiarity with Lutron, Control4, Savant, or Crestron; proficiency in at least one platform preferred.
• Strong networking skills; able to configure and troubleshoot wired and wireless networks.
• Excellent communication and client-facing demeanor; detail-oriented and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor junior technicians and helpers on job sites.
• Coordinate with owner and project team to ensure efficient scheduling and execution.

Job Overview

• Familiarity with Lutron, Control4, Savant, or Crestron (proficiency in at least one platform strongly preferred)
• Strong networking skills, including configuration and troubleshooting of wired and wireless networks
• Excellent communication skills and client‑facing demeanor
• Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail
• Capable of working independently and managing small teams
• Valid driver’s license
• Programming experience is a plus but not required

Compensation

• Hourly Rate:$34–$45/hour depending on skill set and certifications
• Overtime opportunities available
• Simple IRA with company matching

• Both paid after 7 years of service
