Job summary

Yas Networks is seeking an experienced AV/IT Design Engineer to translate customer requirements into functional AV and network designs for commercial, educational, and enterprise environments. You will collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors through design, integration, and commissioning phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of commercial AV system design and integration experience.
• Strong knowledge of AV signal flow, control systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX), DSPs and IP networking.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Bluebeam; BIM tools a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Needs Analysis and Consultation: conduct client discovery and site surveys to translate needs into functional designs.
• System Design and Documentation: create AV system docs, diagrams, floor plans, RCPs, rack elevations using AutoCAD; define scope of work.
• BOM & Cost Estimation: develop equipment specs, BOMs, and labor estimates for quoting.
• Coordination & Collaboration: coordinate with architects, contractors, and engineers for integration into building systems.
• Technical Support: act as SME for installation and commissioning teams.
• Project Handoff: brief Project Manager and field teams for a smooth transition to installation.
• Quality Assurance & Standards: peer review designs for compliance with standards.
• Continuing Education: stay current with AV/IT tech, trends, and certifications.
