Job summary

A leading company in low-voltage cabling services is seeking an energetic, technically inclined individual for a field-based role. Qualifications

  • Experience pulling cabling and construction work required.
  • Steady work history of 3 years preferred.
  • High Emotional Quotient (EQ) and pleasant disposition sought.

Responsibilities

  • Pull, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling for various systems.
  • Mount devices and configure equipment as part of setup.
  • Troubleshoot devices and ensure smooth operation.

Skills

You Are:

  • A trustworthy individual. Hungry to learn and grow. Hands-on and love being in the field as opposed to being behind a desk. Technically inclined and always curious how things work.

You Have:

  • Experience on construction sites. Ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, use power tools & hand tools. A steady work history (3yrs between hops), a pleasant disposition, High EQ.

Your Location:

  • 40 Montowese Avenue North Haven, CT 06473

Your Schedule:

  • Full Time (40hrs/Wk)
  • Mon-Fri from 7:30am to 4:00pm

Opus On-Call Rotation:

  • On-Call Required*: 1 week every 4-6 weeks
  • On-Call Hours* (Truck Roll): M-F 4pm-8pm & Sat/Sun 10am-8pm
  • *Stipend Paid during your on-call week & OT paid for truck rolls!

Your Travel:

  • We offer $2/hr extra to entice you to take travel work!
  • An overnight on Long Island twice a month?
  • A few days working in FL a few times each year?
  • A month in FL every few years?
  • Opt-in to travel = more $$ per hour + a stipend for meals/incidentals!

Your Contribution to Opus (Basic to Advanced Level*):

  • Pull/Terminate/Test Low-Voltage Cabling (Category, Fiber, Lutron, Crestron)
  • Mount devices at the ends of those wires
  • Build and lace equipment racks
  • Setup and configuration of devices
  • Understanding of networks
  • Troubleshooting of devices

*The pay range reflects apprentice level to advanced level skills

Opus Contribution to You:

  • $42k to 94k/yr ($20 to $45/hr) – Yup!
