Job summary

Diversified is seeking mid-level AV Installation Technician II professionals to support a growing portfolio of commercial audiovisual projects throughout the Memphis area.

Technicians will install, cabling, test, and deploy permanent AV systems in large corporate, healthcare, and education environments, often traveling with teams from job site to site. Company vehicles are provided and may be take-home; CTS or CTS-I certification is preferred; valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of commercial AV installation experience.
• Experience with permanent AV system installations.
• Ability to pull, terminate, and test Cat5e/Cat6 cabling.
• Experience soldering and crimping network or AV connectors.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and integration of commercial AV systems.

Job description

Our client is seeking multiple AV Installation Technician II professionals to support a growing portfolio of commercial audiovisual integration projects throughout the Memphis area. These technicians will be paired directly with experienced team members and will assist with the installation, cabling, testing, and deployment of permanent AV systems in large commercial, healthcare, education, and corporate environments.

Projects may include locations such as universities, healthcare facilities, corporate campuses, conference centers, digital signage installations, and high-rise commercial buildings. Technicians will typically report to the shop each morning before traveling to project sites with the team. Company vehicles are often provided and may be assigned as take-home vehicles depending on project requirements.

This role is ideal for a mid-level AV technician with hands-on installation experience who is looking to grow within a leading AV integration organization.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation and integration of commercial AV systems.
• Pull, route, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling, including Cat6.
• Mount and install displays, speakers, microphones, projectors, cameras, and other AV hardware.
• Perform cable terminations, soldering, and connector crimping.
• Utilize hammer drills and power tools for equipment mounting and installation.
• Read and interpret basic drawings, layouts, and installation documentation.
• Support equipment rack build-outs, cable management, and system organization.
• Troubleshoot basic installation and connectivity issues under the guidance of senior technicians.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Collaborate closely with Diversified supervisors and lead technicians to complete projects on schedule.

Required Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of commercial AV installation or low-voltage installation experience.
• Experience with permanent AV system installations.
• Ability to pull, run, terminate, and test Cat5e/Cat6 cabling.
• Experience soldering and crimping network or AV connectors.
• Experience using power tools, including hammer drills.
• Familiarity with construction job sites and commercial building environments.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift, carry, and install audiovisual equipment as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with commercial AV integration projects in higher education, healthcare, or corporate environments.
• Familiarity with equipment from manufacturers such as Crestron, Biamp, Shure, QSC, Extron, or similar.
• CTS or CTS-I certification.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience building and wiring AV racks.
