Job summary

TJ Consulting Group is seeking an AV Installation Technician (Radio Shop) to support audiovisual and conference room installations in the Texarkana, TX area. This hands-on role involves running cabling, mounting displays, and configuring AV equipment in commercial and government environments.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of related experience, basic networking knowledge, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Active Secret clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience supporting AV installations and related technical work.
• Experience pulling, terminating, labeling, and testing cabling.
• Familiarity with installation tools and equipment.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts.
• Ability to follow drawings, diagrams and installation instructions.

Responsibilities

• Install, mount, and connect televisions, projectors, speakers, displays, and AV hardware.
• Route, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/6, fiber, HDMI, coax).
• Mount TVs/monitors, equipment racks, wall plates, and brackets per standards.
• Build, wire, organize, and label AV and network equipment racks.
• Install cable pathways through ceilings, walls, or conduits; assist with deployments and relocations.
• Troubleshoot and verify functionality of installed systems; maintain documentation.
