Job summary

IES Communications, a leading AV integrator, seeks a Field Engineer II - Audio Visual to install, configure, commission, and troubleshoot commercial AV systems. You will work with project managers, field teams, customers, and IT personnel to ensure successful deployment and customer satisfaction.

With 3+ years in AV integration and strong DSP, control system, and conferencing knowledge, you’ll provide advanced technical support and contribute to project success while traveling to sites across

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of commercial audiovisual integration experience.
• Experience with AV system commissioning, troubleshooting, and support.
• Knowledge of DSP platforms, control systems, and video conferencing technologies.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, troubleshoot, and commission commercial audiovisual systems.
• Configure AV equipment including DSPs, control systems, matrix switchers, wireless microphones, and video conferencing platforms.
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Create shop drawings, submittals, and commissioning documentation.
• Provide technical support and guidance to field engineers and installation teams.
• Perform system quality checks, functional testing, and punch list creation.
• Support project closeout activities, change orders, and customer turnover.
