Job summary

The company is seeking an AV Engineer to join a small team responsible for onsite and remote event operations. You will manage AV setup, conferencing, streaming, and coordination of high-visibility events for thousands of employees across geographies.

Responsibilities

  • Join a small, dynamic AV team and optimize the existing AV SME knowledge.

  • Set up, run, and troubleshoot all general AV equipment in offices.
  • Set up, run, and troubleshoot video conferencing and streaming equipment.
  • Plan and integrate tools and services for collaboration in workplaces.
  • Manage AV vendor relationships, contracts, and billing.

About the role:

In the company’s Core IT team, we work to deliver awesome systems, support, and experiences that enable our teams to be as impactful as possible. As a member of the IT Engineering team, focusing on AV, you’ll be responsible for owning the Onsite and Remote AV Event Operations technology and processes that enable our people to present their best.

This role requires being present in our SF HQ office at 1 de Haro.

In this role, you will:
  • Join a small, dynamic AV team; and optimize the existing AV SME knowledge the team currently has
  • Offer clear, well-articulated communication to our business stakeholders
  • Coordinate, execute, and broadcast events such as company-wide town-hall meetings, earning calls, or any high-visibility events to thousands of employees
  • Need to have the ability to set up, run, and troubleshoot all general AV equipment in our offices
  • Need to set up, run, and troubleshoot video conferencing and streaming equipment
  • Plan and integrate the tools and services which help with collaboration in our workplaces
  • Manage our maintenance and integrations AV vendor, including vendor relationship, contracting and billing, and quality assurance
  • Seek opportunities to improve how we make our next event better than our last
  • You will be responsible for our AV configuration across the different geographies, as we expand
  • Collaborate and coordinate with internal partners and external vendors across a global organization.
  • Be able to provide technical advice to presenters, leaders, and staff on tech requirements and promote options to solve all potential issues.

Minimum requirements for the role:
  • Must be willing to be in the office to support onsite events and maintenance of AV Infrastructure, at least 3 days a week, Tuesday through Thursday
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an AV environment
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent years of experience
  • Experience working with Zoom and Zoom Webinars
  • Troubleshooting experience whilst running high-viz events
  • A passion for learning and doing new things in a fast-paced environment
An ideal candidate also has:
  • Experience with supporting live events
  • Experience interacting with Executive teams
  • Knowledge of Q-SYS and Dante technologies
  • Strong AV technical background with expertise in IT Infrastructure
  • Proven ability to set up, configure, and operate multimedia AV
  • Knowledge of Apple products (Macbooks, iPhones, etc)
  • Demonstrable skills in software programming or scripting
  • A YouTube channel for that added production value!

The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is also eligible for an initial RSU grant with no vesting cliff, and ongoing refresh opportunities tied to performance, subject to plan terms and conditions. $86,275-$145,000 USD
