Job summary

CTI is seeking a Design Engineer to translate client ideas into build-ready AV system designs. You’ll work with Sales, PMs, BIM/CAD and field teams to ensure designs meet CTI standards and site realities.

You’ll design complete commercial AV systems, create signal-flow diagrams and drawings (Visio/CAD), review scope, select equipment, and provide QA on drawings for field execution. Strong communication and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing commercial AV systems.
• Experience creating AV documentation/drawings (signal flow, system drawings).
• Comfort selecting equipment and building solutions aligned to standards/budget.
• Excellent communication for cross-team coordination.
• Collaborative, independent work style with curious problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Design commercial AV systems (conference rooms, boardrooms, training spaces).
• Create AV signal flow diagrams and system drawings (Visio/CAD).
• Review project scope, proposals, and kickoff information; clarify requirements.
• Select equipment and define architecture within CTI standards and budget.
