Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an AV Engineer to support a team of engineers in a fast-paced office environment in McLean, VA. The role involves designing and delivering AV solutions, preparing CAD drawings, and supporting installation activities.

Responsibilities include creating drawing packages, testing videoconferencing and integrated AV systems, and designing with Crestron, AMX and Extron control platforms. US relocation to Stuttgart possibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering required.
• 5+ years' experience in engineering roles preferred.
• Experience developing cost estimates and work breakdown structures.

• Design and test complex videoconferencing and AV technologies.

Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is hiring a AV Engineer that will primarily support a team of engineers. The AV Engineer is responsible for preparing and performing AV Design solutions, participate in an office setting, and occasionally helping the installation team. This is a great opportunity in the Mclean, Virginia area, or relocation to Stuttgart, Germany. This role requires the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.

Responsibilities for the AV Engineer:

• Creating Drawing Packages and Bill of Materials in CAD
• Design and testing of complex videoconferencing and integrated audio/visual technologies and A/V based collaboration technologies
• Design of audio/video systems with Crestron, AMX and Extron control systems
• Conduct customer site surveys and provide sales engineering support

Required Qualifications for the AV Engineer:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 5+ years' OR Master's Degree in Engineering
• Developing and implementing hardware and software solutions for data center and virtual infrastructure technologies
• Demonstrated experience with developing cost estimates and work breakdown structures for the design and implementation of complex projects
• Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objective
• Familiarity with IT, telecommunications, A/V and electrical equipment including related materials and specifications
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar software

Compensation for the AV Engineer:

• Salary range: $100,000 - $130,000 *depending on experience*
