Job summary

Pavion Corp is seeking a talented AV Commissioning Engineer/Technician to join our security business unit in the New England area. You will program, configure, commission, and maintain mission-critical AV systems across various project sizes and provide end-user training and documentation.

Role requires Crestron certification, 2–4 years AV experience, OSHA 10, a valid driver’s license, and ability to travel throughout New England.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2-4 years in Audio-Visual industry with deep understanding including Crestron
• 2-4 years in installation, support, programming, maintaining, and servicing low voltage systems (AV)
• Crestron Certification
• OSHA 10 required
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Basic knowledge of DSP modifications for audio tuning
• Basic control system troubleshooting across languages
• Experience with basic networking design and configurations (VLANs, subnetting, DNS)
• Willingness to travel throughout New England (RI, MA, NH, ME)
• Able to work off hours and participate in on-call rotation

Responsibilities

• Program/configure, commission, and maintain small to medium Mission Critical AV systems
• Program/configure basic system integrations between AV systems and related components
• Terminate cables on rack components and control panels
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system problems at the software layer
• Provide solutions to technical challenges and troubleshoot hardware/peripherals
• Apply SME in AV technologies to train end users
• Ensure system delivery aligns with project specs
• Document project state and resolutions for closeout via punch lists
• Support PMO, Engineering and Sales teams during implementation and new opportunities
• Mentor other Mission Critical/AV team members
• Help implement installation best practices for AV technologies
