Job summary

Jefferson County Public Schools seeks an Auxiliary Teacher at Rutherford Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. The role is a temporary/ permanent full-time auxiliary position at Rutherford with a 9:40 start, 187 days per year, 7 hours per day. Salary range is $187.75–$250.33 daily, per the board salary schedule.

The Auxiliary Teacher will support instructional programs, monitor student progress, maintain records, enforce policies, supervise students, and help secure school property as needed.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Auxiliary Teacher carries out duties to support programmatic needs, and the assignment is restricted to a temporary use. Auxiliary Teacher positions are assigned to a specific location but may fill assignments in other locations as needed. This position may organize and deliver the program of instruction based on approved curriculum; monitor, evaluate, and communicate student progress; maintain records and make reports; enforce Board policies, regulations, and rules; supervise students, and secure and maintain school property and materials.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Five-year sub certification issued by the Kentucky Education Professional Standards Board
• Experience working with school-age children
