THIS POSITION IS TEMPORARY AND WILL CONCLUDE ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2026.
The Auxiliary Teacher provides support to the instructional program within assigned classrooms, with specific responsibility for working with individual students and/or small groups, as well as providing clerical and instructional support to classroom teachers.
This role includes assisting with the adaptation of classroom activities to reinforce instructional goals and objectives, as well as supporting weekly instructional planning in collaboration with the lead teacher.
Auxiliary Teachers receive daily direction from the lead teacher or school administrator, including guidance on lesson objectives and instructional plans for the day, week, or month. They assist with delivering instruction to individual students and small groups, support students with assignments, and help manage student behavior within the classroom, on the playground, and during school activities. Additional responsibilities include supporting teachers in supervising students during classroom activities, recess, and field trips.
Candidates must be able to commit to attending all required professional development sessions and completing teacher practice hours as needed.
