About the role

As an Auxiliary Operator, you will collaborate with our facility control room to operate and inspect various power plant systems safely and efficiently, ensuring the operational effectiveness of Reworld's industrial disposal process.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Operate and inspect power plant systems in accordance with safety procedures, including boilers, air pollution control systems, ash systems, and heavy industrial equipment.
2. Monitor and inspect auxiliary equipment such as pumps, motors, fans, dampers, air compressors, valves, mixers, conveyors, turbine generators, and electrical devices.
3. Read and interpret data from meters, gauges, and industrial measuring tools to identify trends or potential disruptions.
4. Monitor air pollution control equipment.
5. Perform material sampling, chemistry testing, and water treatment as required.
6. Operate heavy mobile equipment like cranes, skid steers, loaders, and forklifts safely.
7. Maintain correct refuse-fuel levels and ensure proper refuse mix in designated areas.
8. Perform additional duties to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Position Requirements & Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. 2-3 years of experience operating heavy industrial equipment.
3. Ability to work rotating shifts.

Physical Demands of the Role:

1. Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb.
2. Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
3. Work at heights and in confined spaces.
4. Qualify to wear a full-face respirator.
5. Work in various weather conditions.
