This role is created tosupport "future-proofing" the supply chain for Siemens Energy's GasTurbine (GT) auxiliary systems and other GT components. As a SeniorProfessional Engineer, the position will provide critical technical expertiseto mitigate supply chain risks through early procurement involvement and thedevelopment of alternative component sources. The potential structure would be workingin a small team with one serving as a lead for the overall tasks. This structure ensures that technical solutions arecommercially and technically viable and directly support supply chainresilience. Given the focus on technical specification and risk mitigation, theideal candidate will possess knowledge of GT auxiliary systems and theengineering design process. A strong background in risk assessment, creatingprocurement specifications, and experience working independently on complexprojects is essential for success in this position.
Creatingdetailed product definitions of engineered components for second-sourcinginitiatives
Performtechnical system and component engineering assessments
Lead/Coordinatewith other engineers tasked with the same high level goals
Facilitatingcross-functional collaboration with procurement, engineering and global ordermanagement
Expandingbeyond core goal of supporting supply chain engineering efforts to supportother GT Aux topics
Bachelor'sdegree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a relatedtechnical field.
4+ years of professional experience in anengineering role, preferably with exposure to gas turbine auxiliary systems.
Demonstrated experience in creating technicalspecifications, component selection, and collaborating with procurement orsupply chain functions
Troubleshooting(Problem Solving), Analytical Skills, Risk Assessment
Knowledge of SAP tools, product definition oftools for Auxiliaries is a plus
