Job summary

Anduril Industries in Quincy, MA is seeking an R&D Engineering Technician to fabricate high-quality electro-mechanical assemblies and rapid prototypes for next-generation autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). You will collaborate with engineers to deliver robust hardware, troubleshoot wiring harnesses, and support testing on internal prototyping resources.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of electronics experience in an R&D environment.
• Ability to work through R&D/Manufacturing tasks with limited oversight.
• Experience with building and troubleshooting cables and wiring harnesses.
• Familiar and comfortable with soldering, crimping, assembling cables and connectors
• Understanding of product life cycle (NPI to scaled production), LEAN manufacturing principles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to read electrical schematics.
• Experience with electronics test equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes, data acquisition).
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Contribute to all stages of the vehicle product development and manufacturing life cycle.
• Build, integrate, and test complex electro-mechanical assemblies for AUVs.
• Route and service high-reliability cabling and wiring harnesses.
• Design and prototype manufacturing jigs and fixtures to improve build/test efficiency.
• Use hand tools and manufacturing equipment with precision.
• Record transactions in MES/NetSuite/JIRA daily.
• Train new operators as required.
• Maintain urgency and organize workload to meet deadlines.
