Job summary
Canonical is seeking a Technical Manager, Automotive and Industrial to lead a globally distributed engineering team, align open‑source Linux initiatives with automotive and industrial standards, and represent Canonical in industry consortia, customers and partners.
You will define and execute a strategic roadmap for automotive products, coach engineers, deliver compliant embedded software in C/C++ and Python, promote agile practices, and cultivate a collaborative engineering culture with
Qualifications
- Strong software engineering, Linux and open source background.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux packages and embedded development.
- Familiarity with automotive and industry standards such as ISO21434, ISO26262, SOTIF, IEC 61508.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute an engineering roadmap for the automotive team.
- Lead a globally distributed team of engineers and coordinate their work.
- Represent Ubuntu and the company in the automotive community and with customers and consortia.
