Qualifications

• Associate's degree in biological science with anatomy background required.
• 1 year autopsy assistant experience required.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists pathologists and residents in evisceration techniques during postmortem examinations.
• Performs body incisions and organ evisceration and prepares specimens for studies.
• Obtains consent forms and necessary paperwork for autopsies.
• Maintains cleanliness and readiness of autopsy suite and handles PPE and instruments.
• Keeps logs and coordinates shipments for cremation and specimen disposal.
