Job summary

Gatik is seeking a Senior V&V Engineer – Public Road & Fleet Testing to validate system behavior on active B2B customer routes and prove safe, driverless deployment gates. Onsite at Santa Clara, CA, five days a week, you will analyze fleet data and support field deployment.

This role focuses on on-road testing, map validation, and safety metrics for middle-mile operations. The position requires 5+ years in field validation or related engineering roles, with strong Python/SQL skills and

Qualifications

5+ years in field validation, fleet testing, or systems engineering for autonomous vehicles or large-scale robotic fleets.
Strong Python, SQL, and data visualization/log analysis skills.
Experience analyzing sensor logs (LiDAR, Radar, Camera, CAN) to triage autonomy failures.

Responsibilities

Define and execute on-road structured testing and shadow fleet evaluation programs for new software builds across commercial customer corridors.
Validate map updates and route configurations across customer ODDs prior to driverless sign-off.
Perform deep-dive root-cause analysis on events and anomalies using log visualization tools.
Track SPIs and metrics to quantify readiness for fully driverless operation.
Serve as the V&V technical owner for vehicle commissioning and route expansion.
Translate on-road findings into bug reports and regression scenarios for autonomy teams.
