Job summary

Saronic Technologies Inc. seeks a Training Lead to own the Franklin shipyard training calendar, onboard new hires, and tailor programs to site conditions. You will deliver hands-on instruction for welders and production trades, applying adult learning principles and safety standards.

You will coordinate with shipyard leadership, maintain LMS data, and work with partners to continuously refine training programs across trades. U.S. citizenship and eligibility for security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in aluminum welding or related shipbuilding trades in training/lead roles.
• Certification in manufacturing, mariner, welding, and/or electrical.
• Strong facilitation, editing, and project management skills.
• Able to translate complex content into practical learning experiences.
• U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own the training calendar at the Franklin shipyard, handling scheduling, logistics, and onboarding.
• Identify skill gaps with leadership and translate into hands-on instruction.
• Adapt content for site conditions and maintain standard delivery across trades.
• Apply adult learning principles and safety/compliance requirements.
• Track training data in LMS and report results to leadership.
• Design and deliver on-the-job training for welders and related trades.
• Deliver equipment and safety training including forklift certification.
• Coach trainees in real time and escalate program issues as needed.
• Coordinate with workforce development partners on site visits and reviews.
