Job summary

Applied Intuition, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Autonomy Storage Infra team within Data & Compute. You will manage a world-class data engineering group handling the full data lifecycle at hundreds of PBs scale across cloud, hybrid, and on‑prem environments.

You will partner with business units to define the technical roadmap, recruit talent, and drive ownership while staying hands-on in technical direction as a leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• 6+ years in software engineering, with 2+ years in management or tech lead roles.
• Hands-on with large-scale open-source data technologies (Spark, Hudi/Iceberg, LanceDB, dbt).
• Proven track record leading teams that build and operate high-scale data systems.
• Experience managing engineers across the full data lifecycle in production.
• Deep understanding of containers, cloud-native architectures, and modern workflows.
• Strong cross-functional communication to influence senior technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and mentor a team of data infrastructure engineers.
• Define and drive the technical roadmap for storage infrastructure.
• Own architecture and reliability of systems handling the full data lifecycle across environments.
• Drive decisions around scalable data ingestion, indexing, storage, and retrieval.
• Establish engineering best practices, code quality, and operational excellence.
• Recruit top engineering talent and build an inclusive high-performing team.
