Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Software Test & Automation Engineer (L1) to develop Python-based automated tests and validation tools for autonomous systems. You will work with simulation, SIL, HIL, and VIL environments and support system-level verification and test automation.

You will collaborate with autonomy software, systems engineering, and flight-test teams to identify gaps, analyze results, and improve test coverage and dashboards. The role offers ongoing learning in robotics and autonomy domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Experience with Python development and debugging.
• Interest in robotics, autonomy, or software testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop Python-based automated tests and tooling for validation.
• Support verification across simulation, SIL, HIL, VIL environments.
• Contribute to test regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Analyze results, debug issues, and improve test coverage.
• Help integrate tests into CI/CD for rapid feedback.
• Collaborate with autonomy software, systems, and flight-test teams.
