Job summary

May Mobility, Inc. is seeking an Autonomy Engineering Manager for Prediction to steer trajectory and intent prediction on the MPDM platform. You will bridge robotics and machine learning, lead a team of engineers, and coordinate with autonomy, infra, and remote operations to ensure safe, scalable deployments.

The role emphasizes architectural leadership, safety-focused metrics, and talent development in a fast-growing startup environment with hybrid work in Ann Arbor, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, etc).
• Strong leadership and ability to lead a team of 5+ people
• Mentor technical team members and grow their technical and interpersonal skills
• Experience cross-functionally with other engineering teams, operations, and external partners
• Experience delivering projects with high uncertainty on time
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Data-driven and able to drive metrics/KPIs to measure team progress
• Advanced knowledge of Jira and Jira reporting
• Proficiency with BI tools (e.g., AWS QuickSight, Tableau) for scalable dashboards

Responsibilities

• Guide the evolution of intent and prediction architectures balancing robotics with ML.
• Partner with Behavior, Modeling, Perception, and Remote Assistance teams for roadmaps.
• Integrate safety metrics, risk assessments, and ODD requirements into milestones.
• Collaborate with infra and tooling teams to accelerate iterations.
• Incorporate RCAs into the backlog and provide escalation support.
• Enforce code quality standards and complete engineering ownership of deliverables.
• Grow, onboard, mentor, and develop engineering talent through internal and external hiring.
