Based in Tucson, AZ, this hybrid role partners with engineering, product, and domain experts to drive scalable, reliable, and maintainable software across teams, while mentoring engineers and influencing long-term platform strategy.

Qualifications

• Experience architecting large-scale distributed software deployed in production.
• 10+ years software engineering with architecture and leadership.
• Strong expertise in architecture, distributed systems, scalability, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Define and guide the architectural vision for complex autonomous software platforms.
• Establish scalable, resilient, and maintainable architectures that meet current and future needs.
• Collaborate with engineering leaders, product management, and domain experts to translate objectives into technical direction.
• Drive architectural consistency across teams and products.
• Lead design reviews and mentor engineers in architectural thinking and best practices.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks before they impact operations.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve capabilities and developer productivity.
• Influence roadmaps and align investments with long-term platform strategy.
