Shield AI is seeking a Software Systems Test Engineer to lead integration testing of the full-aircraft software system, coordinating autonomy, flight controller, and GCS software for system verification and validation. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
5+ years of work experience in testing complex integrated software systems, or 4+ years with a Masters, or 2+ years with a PhD.
Proven expertise in test automation and automating tests, preferably with simulation for automated integration testing.
Strong experience with the software product development lifecycle, ideally for autonomy or vehicle systems.
Excellent ability to derive requirements, plan tests, and document high-quality QA procedures and reports.
Proven track record of shipping products and delivering high-quality solutions on time in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

Generate detailed mission test scenarios that mimic real-world conditions to validate autonomy and flight control software.
Participate in design reviews for new features and create detailed test plans from requirements.
Conduct and manage system verification and validation events, achieving verified flight readiness.
Write Python test analyzers to report and benchmark performance and qualification metrics.
Produce test coverage and release-readiness reports by aggregating test cases, results, and quality requirements.
Recommend improvements to simulation models and fault injection to advance the test suite before flight.
