Job summary

Reliable Robotics Corporation is seeking a Flight Controls Engineer to join the Guidance, Navigation, and Control team. You will design, implement, integrate, and test flight control laws for autotaxi, auto-takeoff, autoland, and rollout, integrating real-world hardware with C/C++ flight software and Python for data analysis.

The role collaborates with pilots and operations to plan tests, analyzes control laws, and develops robust fault-tolerant systems to advance automated flight safety.

Qualifications

• BS in aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years hands-on experience developing flight controls algorithms.
• Experience with flight dynamics simulation and model identification.
• Proficient in C/C++ flight software and Python data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish autoflight and flight control system requirements.
• Interface with pilots and operations to develop flight test plans and communicate design updates.
• Design and analyze flight control laws from concept to certification.
• Develop simulation models to evaluate system performance and stability.
• Implement control laws and algorithms in flight software.
• Test flight software in simulation, Monte Carlo, HIL, and flight tests.
