Job summary

Mayman Aerospace is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team designing, building, and flight testing an autonomous VTOL aircraft. You will integrate and customize PX4, develop QGroundControl plugins, and contribute to navigation and sense-and-avoid algorithms.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years with C++/Python in Linux, experience with embedded systems, and a collaborative, proactive mindset within a fast-moving startup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/Robotics/AE with 3+ years of experience.
• Strong fundamentals, written and verbal communication, and documentation skills.
• Willingness to work across a fast-paced startup with ownership of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop the Razor aircraft software ecosystem.
• Integrate PX4 autopilot for high-performance VTOL operations.
• Develop and maintain QGroundControl plugins and interfaces.
• Support navigation/state estimation algorithms for GPS-denied environments.
• Integrate Sense and Avoid systems for autonomous safety.
• Assist with aircraft assembly, sensor calibration, and HITL testing.
• Join the flight-test team and travel to test ranges.
