Job summary

Saronic Technologies, a leader in autonomous maritime solutions, seeks an ASV Operator to conduct field testing of Autonomous Surface Vessels at lakes and outdoor environments on 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) in Austin, TX. You will work with End of Line Technicians and the Engineering team, ensuring vessel performance and providing critical feedback for improvement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a marine environment.
• Field-based testing experience (robotics, drones, autonomous systems, marine vehicles).
• Hands-on experience with unmanned surface vessels or small boats preferred.
• Strong technical testing skills for mechanical, electrical, and software systems.

Responsibilities

• Field-based vessel testing on water in various conditions.
• Collaborate with engineering to define test parameters and troubleshoot field issues.
• Record and analyze field test data including navigation accuracy and battery performance.
• Develop test protocols and document results with actionable feedback.
• Troubleshoot on-site and coordinate with End of Line for on-site or later-phase fixes.
• Maintain and setup support vessels and equipment for field tests.
• Ensure safety and compliance during field testing.
• Provide feedback to design teams based on field results.
