Job summary

ALA Engineering (Part of AGEO Autonomy) seeks an Autonomous Vehicle Testing and Integration Specialist to support build, integration, testing, and validation of autonomous vehicle systems. The role is hands-on, safety-focused, and involves field testing and documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Based in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, you will collaborate with engineering, fabrication, electrical, and software teams to ensure vehicles are assembled and operating as intended.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Clean background check.
• Ability to work 10‑hour days, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to follow written procedures, test instructions, and safety requirements.
• Ability to lift, move, and work around heavy vehicle components and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with integration of autonomous vehicle systems, components, sensors, wiring, and related hardware.
• Support testing, troubleshooting, and validation of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Perform inspections, functional checks, and test procedures on vehicles and subsystems.
• Document test results, issues, failures, repairs, and system performance.
• Assist with diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and software-related issues.
• Support commissioning, setup, and field testing of autonomous vehicles.
• Operate vehicles and equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
• Follow all company safety procedures, testing protocols, and work instructions.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support development and continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in an organized and safe condition.
• Travel as needed to support testing, deployment, and service activities.
