Job summary

Kforce has a client in Foster City, CA seeking an Engineering Technician to build and maintain test assets for autonomous vehicle software validation. The role supports hardware-in-the-loop systems, server-rack integration, and the ongoing operation of simulation and test infrastructure to keep development moving smoothly.

You will assemble hardware, troubleshoot components, wire harnesses, manage configurations, and collaborate with engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hardware build and test experience.
• Experience wiring and cable harnessing with cable management.
• Experience building/troubleshooting computers and components.
• Knowledge of computer networking hardware.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools (DMM, Oscilloscope).
• Able to lift 25–30 pounds; crawl/bend for wiring.

Responsibilities

• Support and track configurations of test platforms for vehicle simulation.
• Assemble hardware for Hardware-in-the-Loop testing.
• Use off-the-shelf components to build computers.
• Integrate network and vehicle system components in server racks.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair test hardware.
• Build cable harnesses from diagrams/drawings.
• Move equipment up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues.
• Create and track tickets for problems and changes.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for parts receiving and upgrades.
