Job summary

Akkodis seeks an experienced AV Technician II to support the operational readiness of an autonomous vehicle fleet. You will troubleshoot, validate, maintain, and prepare vehicles for daily testing and data collection, collaborating with remote Software and Hardware Engineering teams.

This hands-on role requires strong skills across hardware, software, networking, and electromechanical systems. You will calibrate sensors, perform firmware updates, and ensure deployment readiness while maintaining

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in hardware validation or robotics environments.
• Experience with LiDAR, Radar, Cameras, GPS, IMU, CAN Bus.
• Strong Linux command line skills for diagnostics and validation.
• Experience flashing firmware and performing software/hardware testing.
• Proven ability to diagnose hardware, electrical, mechanical, and software issues.
• Familiarity with Jira or Slack for issue tracking and collaboration.
• Onsite work in Sunnyvale, CA with potential SF office rotation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair autonomous vehicle hardware and sensors.
• Serve as onsite tech resource for remote engineering teams.
• Perform hardware validation, system tests, and firmware updates.
• Calibrate LiDAR, Radar, Cameras, GPS, and IMU sensors.
• Flash firmware, install software, and run validation scripts.
• Monitor dashboards and tickets for hardware alerts and requests.
• Document calibration results and fleet status; maintain uptime.
• Work independently following SOPs with minimal supervision.
