Source One Technical Solutions, LLC is seeking an Autonomous Vehicle Safety Driver to support an established robotics and AV company in Austin, TX. You will operate autonomous vehicles, collect critical data, and report findings to engineers and operations leaders, ensuring safety and reliability during testing.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of driving experience, a valid Texas license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional driving experience.
• Must have a valid TX Driver’s License.
• Clean driving record with limited violations in last 5 years.
• Experience with workplace communication tools or GPS apps.
• Able to anticipate hazards and act quickly and safely.
• Knowledge of local traffic regulations.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Willing to work in various weather conditions.
• Takes ownership and responsibility.
• FSA and life insurance benefits provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate autonomous vehicles safely and lawfully to collect critical data on system performance and environmental factors.
• Interact professionally with riders, engineers, and company operations leaders to provide feedback and insights.
• Monitor vehicle performance and conduct in-field testing to ensure operational safety. Prepare vehicles daily for in-field operations, including safety checks and system readiness.
• Submit detailed reports to support system advancements and operational improvements.
• Be prepared for actions of other drivers and pedestrians and for unexpected events.
• Be alert and distraction free while in vehicles.
