Job summary

WME Express is seeking an Autonomous Vehicle Operator for full- and part-time shifts in Minnesota. You will monitor and operate self-driving vehicles during passenger service and testing, a safety-focused role combining driving, vehicle monitoring, customer service, and reporting.

Responsibilities include monitoring performance, taking manual control when needed, driving legally and safely, reporting issues, assisting passengers (including wheelchair assistance), performing daily safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of driving experience with a clean record.
• Comfortable operating autonomous vehicles.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Basic technical or mechanical experience is a plus.
• Able to assist passengers in wheelchairs (lift 30–50 lbs).
• Must adhere to a strict no-phone policy while on shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor autonomous vehicle performance.
• Take manual control if needed for safety.
• Drive safely and follow all traffic laws.
• Report vehicle issues and unusual events.
• Assist and interact with passengers.
• Perform daily vehicle safety inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean inside and out.
• Work mornings, afternoons, weekends, and Saturdays.
