Responsibilities

We are seeking an Institutional Credit Salesperson to join our Autonomous US sales team in New York. Autonomous is a leading global financial services research provider, with over 35 publishing analysts covering nearly 300 financial sector companies worldwide.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team launching a new product within an established senior team. Autonomous is introducing a US Financials Credit product, and we are looking for a senior salesperson to market this product to institutional clients across North America. Your responsibilities will include building the client base by identifying, qualifying, and opening new account relationships, and managing these relationships on an ongoing basis.

To succeed, you should have a thorough understanding of our investment research and analyst recommendations to build credibility and add value to our clients’ investment processes. This role requires extensive study, a keen understanding of market context, and the ability to interpret our research for clients. As the main contact for the US credit research product, you will own the overall client relationship and develop comprehensive sales strategies using research, conferences, and marketing events to drive revenue.

Profile Required

Ideal candidates should have:

  • 6-8 years of professional sales experience in fixed income, including roles in financial services, technology, management consulting, investor relations, or banking.
  • A proven track record of exceptional sales ability and relationship-building skills to drive revenue.
  • Extensive experience in building and maintaining relationships at senior levels within client organizations.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and a drive to excel.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
  • A strong work ethic and ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in sales at a sell-side firm is preferred.
