Job summary

Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State University in State College, PA, seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to design, implement, and test embedded software for autonomous undersea systems, focusing on guidance, control, sensor monitoring, and real-time decision making.

• Develop autonomy-related capabilities such as sensor fusion and embedded signal-processing pipelines.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to integrate complete embedded software systems and support HIL testing.
• Prepare documentation, technical reports, and presentations.
• Support travel to remote test locations as part of a small engineering and research team.
