Torc is seeking a Safety Engineer to support Operational Safety Analysis for ADS testing of autonomous trucks. You will collaborate with product development, engineering, and fleet teams to monitor and improve safety during testing and to develop safety plans and risk mitigations.

Qualifications include a 4+ year technical degree and experience in systems engineering, HARA, DFMEA/FTA/STPA, with strong communication and a proactive problem-solving approach. US-based role with full-time commitment.

Qualifications

• Must have systems engineering experience with hazard analysis and risk assessments.
• Experience with DFMEA/FTA/STPA methods and applying them in automotive or heavy equipment contexts.
• Strong analytical skills, problem solving, and ability to communicate complex safety concepts.

Responsabilités

• Lead operational safety analyses and safety plans for ADS testing.
• Develop and maintain safety processes for software releases and road testing.
• Perform safety risk assessments with internal stakeholders and document results.
• Coordinate with product, design engineering, service, and maintenance to ensure safety design alignment.
• Provide data analyses to support safety cases and real-time safety during testing.
• Create safety metrics to monitor operational safety of autonomous vehicle testing.
• Review test plans, specifications, and change proposals for safety impacts.
• Support customer and Torc Safety Board meetings with analyses and reports.
