Job summary

TRUCKING PEOPLE is seeking experienced commercial drivers for an autonomous ride-hailing project in the San Francisco Bay Area. The role focuses on safety, vehicle readiness, and cross‑team collaboration across engineering, operations, and strategy to advance autonomous mobility.

You will participate in day and night shifts, handling test vehicle operation, data collection, and real-time feedback while contributing to the company's onboarding and field performance efforts.

Qualifications

• Basic vehicle knowledge with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable driving for 4–8 hours per day.
• No moving violations in the past 12 months, DUIs, or criminal record.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines.
• On-site work in Mountain View and San Francisco.

Responsibilities

• Drive test vehicles for 4–8 hours daily on predefined routes, ensuring safety.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections to confirm roadworthiness and address maintenance needs.
• Conduct basic software operations to support real-time data collection.
• Accurately document observations, issues, and anomalies encountered during test runs.
• Collaborate with engineers, providing feedback to enhance system performance.
• Assist with vehicle logistics, maintenance coordination, and storage.

We are looking for experiencedCommercial drivers for our on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company, to be at the forefront of turning the company's vision into reality.

In this role, you'll always ensure safety, maintain vehicle readiness, complete software and hardware tests, and represent our client's brand as an ambassador to the public. You'll also assist and interact with multiple teams across the company, from computer vision, infrastructure, and sound design to strategy, vehicle engineering, and ride operations.

We're looking for commercialdrivers who are disciplined, team players. Working in this role will give you the opportunity to learn vehicle and personnel operations. You'll have a front-row seat to the operational complexities of realizing autonomous mobility and the chance to contribute to the future.

Shifts:
AM Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
PM Shift: 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM
7 days a week

Day to Day Operations as a Commercial Driver:
