Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver evidence-based care in a fast-paced environment. You will assess patients, manage ventilator protocols, and implement life-support strategies while collaborating with physicians and the care team.

Eligible candidates will be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, NBRC-registered as an RRT, and hold or be eligible for Alabama licensure. BLS certification is required, with ACLS/PALS often preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy.
• NBRC-registered as an RRT.
• Alabama licensure or eligibility required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS may be required/preferred.
• Experience with ventilator management and life-support protocols is valued.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and administer therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care.
• Consult with physicians regarding patient care plans and outcomes.
