Job summary

RJI Search is seeking a hands-on Robot Service Technician to support assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of autonomous delivery robots. This role blends mechanical and electrical work with field service, testing, and general technical support.

The ideal candidate has experience in automotive, manufacturing, dealership, or similar technical environments, with strong computer skills and an adaptable, proactive mindset to handle a range of responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience using mechanical and electrical tools and measurement equipment.
• Ability to assemble and disassemble products and components.
• Experience installing custom electronic modules and AC/DC electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D mechanical drawings.
• Soldering experience is a plus.
• Strong computer skills and literacy.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble wiring harnesses, cables, and connectors for autonomous delivery robots.
• Install, replace, and service sensors such as LiDAR, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors.
• Assemble/disassemble robot components and install electronic modules.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair across the robot fleet.
• Diagnose equipment failures, investigate service incidents, and carry out service campaigns.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems and test batteries.
• Travel to nearby locations for onsite maintenance and support.
• Assist with rapid prototyping and product testing.
• Support inventory tracking and management of service parts.
• Participate in R&D testing and development projects.
